Evelyn Viola Snow (Smith)

Evelyn Viola Snow (Smith) was born in Little Falls, Minn. on June 18, 1920 to Grayce and August Smith, the fourth of eight children. She died three days after her 90th birthday on June 21, 2010 in Boise. Her husband of 62 years, W. Harold Snow was at her side, as always, fulfilling the promise "till death do us part."
Evelyn and Harold were married Aug. 22, 1947 and Harold entered full time ministry, moving to Boise in 1954 to work at the Boise Christian Children's Home. In 1960 Harold took a small church in Whitehall, Mont. then in 1967 Rio Dell, Calif. Evelyn taught Sunday School, played piano, coordinated Vacation Bible Schools and Christmas programs and generally helped him in every way. When he retired from the ministry, they moved back to Boise and remained active in church.
Evelyn was mother to five children, 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Surviving family members are her husband, W. Harold Snow; son, James D. Snow of Boise; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Steven Jones, of Redcrest, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Blace Snow of Meridian; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Elbie Seibert of Nampa; and daughter-in-law Robin Snow of Boise, widow of Charles A. Snow who preceded Evelyn in death. She is also survived by her youngest brother Harold G. Smith of Boise.

Funeral Services are at 1 p.m. Friday, June 25 at Cloverdale Funeral Home with burial following at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery.
