She worked as a nurse for her husband, George. Florence committed suicide in 1933, 6 weeks after her husband committed suicide, by drowning herself in a rain barrel at her home. She ran an ad in the Lincoln newspaper when her husband died, asking that all debtors of the late Dr. G.M. Anderson please call his office to settle accounts or make arrangements for settlements. Minnie's daughter Virginia believed her mother's name was Florence Minnie, but she always went by Minnie.
