She was born Feb. 5, 1941 in Clark County to Edgar E. and Ethel M. Beal Carder. She married Ivan Baskett Dec. 24, 1972 in Ottumwa. She had been a Davis County resident since 1990, was a homemaker and worked at the Ottumwa Hospital Cafeteria for 11 years. She was a member of the Mark Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, two sons; Edgar Olen Baskett of Pulaski, and Ivan Lee Baskett of Glenwood, Mo.; two grandchildren, Grace and Dalton Baskett; and two sisters, Betty Downing and Elizabeth Carder, both of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edgar Earl Carder, Jr.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mark Baptist Church, Rev. Dan Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Hopkins Cemetery west of Mark. Visitation will begin at noon today at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with family present 6-8 p.m.
