Mrs. Smith was born September 23, 1933 in Salem to Arch and Clarice (Bailey) Gibbs. She married Harvey Allen Smith January 8, 1956. They were the parents of two children. Mrs. Smith died July 14, 2010 in St. Charles at the age of 76 years.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Smith, Lake St. Louis; two children, Pam Huelskoetter and husband, Michael, Lake St. Louis; and Mark Smith; two brothers, Lavern Gibbs and wife, Leona, Springfield; and Charles Gibbs and wife, Leah, Salem; daughter-in-law, Marsha Smith, Atlanta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Atlanta; Melissa Morgan, Lake St. Louis; Melanie Morgan, Wentzville; Chad Smith, Seattle, Wash.; Josh Smith, Atlanta; Madison Huelskoetter, Lake St. Louis; and Sean Huelskoetter, Lake St. Louis.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Mary Thompson and Hildred Carmack; two brothers, Elmo Gibbs and Kenneth Gibbs.
