Etta was the last child born to Charles & Lula plus she was the only girl. Etta worked tirelessly rearing her 7 children, working on a tung oil farm in George Co., MS then in the cafeteria at Ed Mayo School in Kreole, MS also in the cafeteria in the Escatawpa School, and in the cafeteria section of the old Eckerd's Drug in Pascagoula, MS. Etta made sure that her children were taken care of. She was a woman who endured the hardship of life but didn't let it stop her. Two of her sons preceded her in death, which seriously broke her heart. She left many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
