Resident Here 60 Years is Buried

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Alger, 76, were Friday at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarine. Rev. Glen Cantrel officiated. Burial was in the city cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Mrs. Alger died Tuesday, April 12, at the LeMars home of her brother, Henry A. Zimmerman, Jr., and his wife, with whom she had made her home the past 20 years. She had been ill three weeks.

Elizabeth Zimmerman was born Feb. 17, 1879, in Christian county, Ill. She came to LeMars when 16 years old and has lived here ever since, Her marriage to Glen Alger took place July 5, 1927, at LeMars.

Her husband, parents, two sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death. Surviving besides her brother, Mr. Zimmerman, are several nieces and nephews.
