Ada Victoria Alleman, 99, formerly of N. State Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 8:30p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend, Ind. Ada was born on Dec. 1, 1899 in Culver, Ind., as the daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Kaley) Fry.
On Feb. 14, 1920 in Mishawaka, as the former AdaFry she married Earl Alleman. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1967 along with her three sons, Floyd M. Alleman on Nov. 17, 1998 and his twin brother, Lloyd in 1946 and Glenn Alleman in 1968. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Alton and Willard Fry. Ada is survived by two grandsons, Thomas L. (Sandy)Alleman of Marcellus, Mich., and Richard (Patty) Alleman of Leesville, LA. Two granddaughters Glenna Rossa of Hobart, Ind., and Brenna Biesbrouck of Mishawaka; three great-grandsons, Lee Alleman of Huntington, Ind., Eric Alleman of colorado and Lawrence Rossa III of Hobart. Two great-granddaughters, Corinne Biesbrouck of Mishawaka and Darlynn Rossa (Tom) Farley of Hobart. One great-great-grandson, Jordan Farley and daughter-in-law, Juanita Alleman of South Bend. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Before her marriage Ada had been employed at the former Uniroyl and later at C.E. Lee Company. She enjoyed gardening, craft work as well as working for her church. Ada was a loving mother and grandmother she often baby sat for her grandchildren. She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Ada was also Indiana past state president of the "Goldstar Mother's" and former member of Mishawaka "Eastern Star" ans AARP.
Funeral services will be at 10a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, in the funeral home, with Rev. Warren Kirkwood officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
