She was born in Utica on August 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Anthony and Genevieve (LaPaglia) Giacona. She was raised in Whitesboro and attended schools there. Frances at one time had been employed making circuit boards for Laser Precision for several years.
Frances was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time at home with her partner of over twenty-five years, Clifford L. Davies; also surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Anthony Giacona and Richard and Sandy Giacona; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved son, who was always in her heart, Gary Conkling.
