Cheramie, 65, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died at 10:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1999.Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.He is survived by his wife, Marliss Rita Lombas Cheramie; one son, Kevy Cheramie; three daughters, Therese Platt, Kajun Cheramie and Suzette Autin; four brothers, Marcel, Berwick, Ozema and Alcide Cheramie Jr.; five sisters, Victoria Johnfroe, Alcidee Verdin, Viana Danos, Bessie Savoie and Deeanna Cheramie; and three grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Odile Gaudet Cheramie Sr.; two brothers, Lindbert and Penelton Cheramie; and two sisters, Alcida Brunet and Evada Cheramie.
