ALBANY--Mrs. Elva E. Koop, 89, died early Friday morning in Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jackson, Ind., on Jan. 17, 1913, she was the daughter of William and Mamie Warren. She attended school in Jay County and had spent the past several years in Albany.
Mrs. Koop was a member of Albany United Church of Christ.
Members of her family include a son, Merrill Turner (wife-Barbara), Springfield, Ill.; two daughters, Meralene Kerns (husband-Harold), Cridersville, Ohio, and Sandie Lytle (husband-Ron), Lima, Ohio; and a sister, Vanita Conn, Muncie. There area also 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granchildren, and a nephew.
Mrs. Koop was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Koop; her parents; a son, Larry Turner; and a brother, Kenneth Warren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dex. 16, 2002, at the Albany United Church of Christ by Pastor John K. Summers.
Burial will follow at Lisban Cemetery, Union City, Ind.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Parson-Rust Funeral Home, Albany.
