SOUTH BEND – William M. Zakrzewski, 72, of 19430 Brick Road, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He retired in 1985 from RACO Inc., where he was employed 14 years as a machine operator. Born Feb. 12, 1919, in South Bend, he was a lifelong area resident. On June 1, 1946, in South Bend, he married Hildegarde Kaminski. She survives, with a daughter, Linda Zakrzewski of South Bend; a son David of South Bend; and four brothers, Walter of Shipshewana, Edward of Bristol, Eugene of South Bend and Stanley of New Carlisle. Mr. Zakrzewski was a member of South Bend Moose Lodge 58 and American Legion Pulaski Post 357.
