Ivel Collins, 77, of Herrick died 5:38 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 23, 1989) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Wallace & Carroll Funeral Home, Herrick, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Herrick.
Mr. Collins was born in Atwood, son of Essel and Elizabeth Collins. He was a retired assistant manager of Arthur IGA and member of Herrick Chistian Church. He married Elva Lena Albert in 1934.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Ronald and Larry, both of Herrick; Jerry of Pittsfield; daughter, Kay Griffin of Riverton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
