Victor William Brandt was born on December 24, 1887 on a farm north of Lindstrom.
He was the son of John and Mathilda Brandt. On May 22, 1910 he was united in marriage to Mamie Swanson in Linstrom and the them were born a daughter Jeannette and a son Harris. Mrs Brandt died in 1945. Mr Brandt was engaged in farming in this area and later conducted an ice delivery business in Lindstrom. For some time he distributed Raleigh Products and also served as clerk in the coop store in Chisago City. He was a member of the First Methodist of Lindstrom for the past nine months, he served as custodian of the church. He enjoyed his church activites and served on the Board of Trustees at the time of his death. He was also a member of the church's mens club. Mr Brandt passed away on Wednesday March 16 at the Chisago Lakes Hospital whene he had been hospitalized briefly after suffering a heat attack in his home. Preceeding him in death were his parents, a sister Clara and his wife Mamie and also his second wife Ruth. Survivors are as follows.
A daughter Jeanette, (Mrs Emerson Morris of Grand Rapids, MN and his son Harris of Chisago City with whom he made his home in recent years. Four grandsons, a sister Lillie Brandt of Sturgeon Lake, MN, 3 brothers, Carl of Grand MArais, Alfred of Kingsdale and Theodore of Sturgeon Lake. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Denham, Sturgeon Lake, Kindsdale, Onamia, Stacy, North Branch, Forest Lake, St Paul, Minneapolis and Grand MArais. Following the service Monday March 21 burial took place in Fairview Cemetary, Lindstrom
