In 1939 she went to Sterling, Col., to keep house for her brother, John and care for his two children. She had been an active member of the W. C. T. U. and the Assembly of God Church for a number of years.
She was a patient sufferer for several months. She passed to her heavenly home January 8, 1958. Her father and mother; brother, Ernest, all of Fairmont, and sister, Grace Slama of Sterling, preceded her in death. She leaves three brothers, John of Sterling, Fred of Grant, Neb., and Charley of North Platte; eight nieces and two nephews; several cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at Sterling, Col., with a short service at Kritner-Farmer Chapel in Fairmont, Saturday afternoon, January 11. Rev. A. B. Sears of the Geneva Methodist Church officiated in the absence of the Fairmont pastor, Rev. J. A. Rogers. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
