PAXTANG - Anna C. Fry, 92, formerly of Paxtang, passed away on Sept. 8, 2008, in HRC Manor Care, Carlisle.
Born in Cocolamus, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Lillian (Beers) Schell. Her husband, Luther B. Fry, preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1967.
Surviving are: children, John F. Fry and wife, Alma, of Pillow, Judy K. Sigler and husband, George, of Dauphin, and Suzanne R. Moore, of Orange Park, Fl.; sisters, Frieda E. Kissinger, of Jacksonville, Fl., and Hilda M. Shotsberger, of Camp Hill; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Lee Bunn; six brothers, Arthur, Homer, John, Elmer, Robert and Donald Schell and three sisters, Florence Eagler, Bernice Imler and Juniata Querry and a grandson, Steven Moore.
She was a member of the Highspire United Methodist Church. She worked as a cashier at Acme, Penn Fruit and Pantry Pride Food Stores for 27 years. She enjoyed sewing and created many comforts, quilts and braided rugs. She also made many floral and holiday arrangements and enjoyed growing outdoor flowers in the spring.
Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Goodwill Cemetery, Bunktertown and will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her church at 170 Second St., Highspire, PA 17034.
