John Teuchert came to America on July 15 1903 to work for The Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia as a pattern maker. His wife Theresa, children Rosa and Frank arrived in New York from Austria Hungary after boarding the Kaiser Wilhelm 2 at Bremen Germany. They arrived on November 15 1903 and traveled to Philadelphia. A son Engelbert and daughter Amelia were born there. By 1910 they had moved to Delaware County. The Baldwin Locomotive Works located to Eddystone Delaware county also.He retired from Baldwin Locomotive works after World War 2 in 1945 at age 75yrs, completing 42yrs of faithful service.
