Timothy R. Haney, 55, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Union Hospital following a lengthy illness.

A son of the late Willard James Haney and Annabelle Reichman Haney, Tim was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Dennison, O.

He attended school in New Phila-delphia and worked as a machinist at Zimmer O.S.P and Allied Machine and Engineering.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended the First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia, was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW and belonged to several area fishing clubs. He also enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and watching them participate in their many activities.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Cynthia Wigfield Haney, whom he married March 5, 1973; daughters, Amy (Matt) Harding of New Phila-delphia, Mindy (Tom) Hardman of Stone Creek and Kerry (Russ Jr.) Erwin of New Phila-delphia; grandchildren, Tori and Kaci Blacka, Ashdon and Austen Bailey, Kerianne Hardman, Russ Erwin III and Chloe and Parker Blacka; brothers, Bob (Pat) Haney of Uhrichs-ville, Terry (Roberta) Haney of Dover and Craig (Lisa) Haney of Dover; a brother-in-law, R. Trent (Karen) Wigfield of Dennison; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Evelyn Haney.

In accordance with Tim?s wishes there will be no visitation, and he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. at The First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. A memorial reception will be held at the church following the service. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia is handling the arrangements.
