1900 Census • Arbacoochee, Cleburne, Alabama, United States • William R Beason age: 26 (March 1874) Alabama ** Mary S Beason Mother age: 70 (1830) Alabama (This is interesting considering her headstone states she passed away in 1899. But if you do the math on her age through the census, she was born close to 1830. Also states that Mary had 8 children, 7 living))
Her name popped up on this application. I don't think it is her considering she is married. But it might be something to look into if someone had an account w/Fold3. Please let me know what you find.
Oklahoma Applications for Enrollment to the Five Civilized Tribes, 1898-1914 -
Name: Mary Emaline Cooper
Event Type: Application
Tribe or Clan: Choctaw By Blood
Case Number: 102
Application Status: Granted
I believe her parents are Thomas Cooper & Polly Creder/Crader/Crider. The 1850 census shows Thomas Cooper at line #326, Richard D Beason at line #328 and Uriah M Beason at line #329. If Thomas & Polly are her parent, then she was born in North Carolina. She has siblings born after her that was born in North Carolina and the last sibling born in Georgia.
