Funeral rites for Daniel F. McAllister, 82, who died at this home at Sampson's Wharf, Northumberland County, after several months of ill health, were conducted Wed. afternoon Jan 5, 1 at Moreland Baptist Church, the Rev. Len Davis, pastor and the Rev. C. A. Kirby, pastor of Kilmarnock Baptist Church, Officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. McAllister, the son of Zora (Zorabable) and Ellen McAllister, was born in Dorchester County MD, but made his home at Sampson's Wharf for more than 40 years. He was a member of Moreland Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Martha Annie McAllister; seven daughters; Mrs. Robert Jennings of Waynesborl; Mrs. R. Frank Perciful and Mrs. Grayson Harrison of Kilmarnock; Mrs T. E Craig, of Sampson's Wharf; Mrs.Newton Hinton of Lara; a son Charles P McAllister, Brown's Store; 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Mrs. Daniel Brinchfield, of Rhodesdale, MD.
