Richard W. Attwood died Sept. 21, 2002, at age 94. Mr. Attwood was born May 9, 1908, in Steilacoom, Wash. A retired manager for the city of Steilacoom Public Works department, he moved about 1996 to Portland. In 1934, he married Ruth H. Westby; she died in 1998. Survivors include his daughter, Gail Wood; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
