He was a custodian in the Fayetteville schools.
He was predeceased by his parents; three sons, Dessie Bogan, Edward Dee Bogan and Everette Lee Bogan; two daughters, Mollie Bogan and Elsie Bogan; two brothers, George Thurston Bogan and Charles Paul Bogan; and a sister, Myrta Hanna.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Loretta (Shackleford) Bogan; a son, Wayne Jackson Bogan; five daughters, Myrtle Rose Garriott, Edna Alberta kemp, Eithel Maude Earp, Bertha W. Douglasand Ola Juanita Whitlock.Married to Ella L Bogan; two brothers, Edward Caswell Bogan and Lee Roy Bogan; and two sisters, Mattie Ramsey and Elizabeth Campbell.
Burial is in Nickell Cemetery,near Durham.
