Services for Mrs. Montgomery will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00am at
Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment at EasthavenCemetery. Visitation will
be from 10:00-11:00am Saturday prior to the service.
Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Montgomery, 90, passed away October 3, 2013 at her residence
in Brookhaven. She was born on June 21, 1923 to John Harveston and Myrtis Furr Harveston.
She was a member of UnionHallBaptistChurch and a Business Owner.
Preceding her in death was her husband James Clyde Montgomery, Sr.; her parents,
John and Myrtis Harveston; one son, David Bruce Montgomery and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors are her daughter, Linda Gail Onesi; son, James Clyde "Jimmy" Montgomery, Jr.
and wife Shirley; four grandchildren, Chance Clyde Onesi, Terry Spence, James Clyde Montgomery III
and Beth Montgomery Covington. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and a special caregiver/niece, Judy Nevels Spence.
