She was the daughter of Colonel John Anderson, Jr.(Find-A-Grave Memorial Number 55663016) and Anna (Reid) Anderson. They had five children. Thomas Hankinson, III. married a second time. His second wife was Hannah Throckmorton. She was the daughter of John Ashton and the widow of Job Throckmorton. Thomas Hankinson, III. and Hannah (Ashton) Throckmorton Hankinson were married on May 25, 1757. Job Throckmorton was the great-great grandson of Rev. John Throckmorton, Sr., Find-A-Grave mem.#19356715. Thomas Hankinson, III., was the grandson of one of the earliest settlers of Monmouth County, Thomas Hankinson, Sr. The original Hankinson tract was at the head of Gravel Brook, the feeder of Lake Matawan. The original Hankinson tract contained some 200 acres. Thomas Hankinson, Sr. sold the original tract in 1724. Thomas Hankinson, III. and Hellana (Reid) Anderson had a son Captain Kenneth Hankinson; Find-A-Grave Memorial Number 8649468. Thomas Hankinson, III. and Joseph Hankinson (Find-A-Grave Memorial Number 55154675) were brothers.
