AUGUSTA, Ga. - Darryl Lance Ward, 52, entered into rest Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was an avid "mud bogger" and a Jimmy Johnson fan. He retired as a Pipefitter from Local # 150. Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers. He is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Jane Ward; three children, Ricky Lucas Ward (Chris), Michael Ward (Maxine), and Melissa Price (Shawn); four grandchildren; six siblings, Joan Carpenter, John Ward, Jr., Mary Kilgore, Wayne Ward, Sherry Switzer, and Paul Ward; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and his beloved American Bulldog "Nana". The funeral was conducted Tuesday, July 20, at 2pm at Hephzibah Baptist Church. Rev. Danny McGill and Rev. Michael Rochester officiated. Interment follow in Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were Mike Parker, John Kilgore, Milton Woods, Timothy Blackmon, Ashley Dixon, and Wilmer Brown. Honorary Pallbearers were be members of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local # 150.
