Jacob Franklin Barrall was born at Stenton, Pa., December 03, 1867. He passed away at his late home in Selinsgrove, Pa., October 10, 1940 at the age of 73 year, 10 months and seven days. He was united in marriage with Annie J. Wolfe of Weaversville, Pa., on November 20, 1890. He is survived by his widow and one son, Ray. Two daughters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the M. B.in C. Church in Shamokin, Pa., in charge of Pastor Paul E. Baer assisted by Presiding Elder W. G. Gehman.
Brother Barrall was converted and admitted to the Church in Bethlehem, Pa., in 1897 during the ministry of Pastor H. B. Musselman and was ordained to the ministry in 1904. He served as pastor at Lehighton and Weissport, Allentown, Coopersburg and Springtown, Fleetwood, Blandon and Terre Hill, Spring City and Royersford and Shamokin. In 1922 he retired as pastor but continued in fellowship and active service in the Church and Sunday School as long as he was physically able to do so. May the God of all comfort sustain the widow and son.
