Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Collins was born Aug 22, 1858, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, to parents Louis A. Collins and Mary Wright, both born in Kentucky.
Mary was the fourth child in a family of seven children. Her brothers and sisters were: Sarah, Martha, John, Charles, Horrace and Robert - all born in Kentucky.
On December 5, 1882, Mollie married Edward P. Grimes (1859-1936) in Bourbon County. Edward was a son of Philip Grimes (1831-1904) and Sidney Ann Hall (1838-1921), both born in Kentucky.
When the Grimes family moved to Missouri, Edward and Mollie also moved. They settled in Saline County, Missouri, where Edward was a merchant. They had two children, a son and daughter: Carl Lee Grimes (1885-1957), and Estelle May Grimes-Spillman (1887-1973), both born in Missouri.
Mollie died on August 18, 1933 in Saline County. She is buried in Ridge Park Cemetery.
