Virginia Smith Conde

Virginia Smith Conde "Grandma Ginny" Virginia died April 18, 2006. She was born on October 6, 1917 to Henrietta Mitchell Smith and Andrew Smith, Jr. in Garfield, Utah and was the youngest of seven children.

She married Fred Peter Conde and had three daughters. Fred and Virginia were later divorced.

She is survived by one brother Ernest M. Smith, a sister-in-law, Cecile M. Smith, and a brother-in-law, Albert Hunt. Her daughters, Karen Hardwick (Larry), Judi West, Debra Robbins (Joseph) survive her as do eight grandchildren, Christine Hardwick (Gene), Scott Hardwick (Merry), Justin Hardwick (Sheila), Shane West, Jason West, Daniel Robbins (Ezralea), Kate Pfeiler (Joe) and Margie Robbins and seven great-grandchildren. Brothers, Emery Smith, Blair Smith, Howard Smith, Andrew Smith and sister, Mary Hunt preceded her in death.

She was a licensed practical nurse at LDS Hospital for 25 years and her greatest joy came from being of service to others, and a pillar of strength. She was a passionate fan of NBA basketball and loved her Utah Jazz. "Everything has a place and everything in it's place"; "you are what you eat", and "I know all about diabetes" are famous quotes we will miss hearing... we love you mom.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2020 South 200 West. Friends and family may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to services.
