ZEP AGOSTINELLI Of Wolverton, passed away tragically on 10th May 2010 aged 45 years. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father and leaves his mother, brother and many other relatives and friends behind. The funeral service took place at Crownhill Crematorium on Wednesday 2nd June, 11.30am. Family flowers only were requested, with memorial donations for Riders for Health to be sent to H W Mason & Sons, 9 High Street, Newport Pagnell, Bucks., MK16 8AR.

Zep was a long time employee of the Wolverton Railway Works and devoted much of his spare time to charity work, most notably Riders For Health, which raises funds for reliable transportation for health workers in Third World countries. He was a lifelong biker and lived to ride.

Zep was my first love. He was a sweet, funny & thoughtful person, maddening at times, a free spirit and I think a gentle soul. I was only 16 - he was 22 - and he was very mindful of my age. He wouldn't let me ride with him because he said it was too dangerous and he'd never be able to face my family or forgive himself if anything happened to me. He didn't treat me like a child but he shielded me somewhat from the wilder side of life. For a summer in the 1980's we were all over the place together. It was a happy time, the likes of which I've never seen again. A simpler time - hanging out at the pub, watching dumb movies, listening to music, rummaging around flea markets before it got trendy to do so, walking along the canal, drinking Thunderbird wine and watching the world go by. He was the bridge that carried me from childhood to finding my way in the adult world. I'm told he hadn't changed a lot. He never married and still lived at home, taking care of his elderly mother and volunteering for charity work. He wasn't a member of any one group but rather went wherever he was needed. We had been out of touch for a long time but he always had a place in my heart. Rest in peace Zep; you are sadly missed, my friend.
