OBITUARY
On Friday August 28 at 11:20 P.M. Joseph Gast departed this life, aged 69 years and 4 months.
The funeral service was conducted at the home of his sister Mrs. Emma Crotzer, with whom, for twenty five years Mr. Gast has made his home.
After the services at the house the body was conveyed to its last resting place in Rose Hill cemetery at Valley Falls, followed by a large company of neighbors and friends.
Mr. Gast was born in Clinton Co., Pa., in May 1833, and came to Kansas in January 1878, where he has since resided.
