Cora Mable Andre
Cora Mable Andre was born near Lisbon, Ia., in Cedar county, May 17, 1874 to Samuel and Helen Andre and passed away September 5, 1962 at the Republic county hospital in Belleville, Kan.
She came to Republic county with her parents when five years of age. Here she grew to womanhood and lived the remaining 40 years of her life. She attended what is known as the Center Valley school.
She was united in marriage on December 25, 1894, to Alex Davis of Byron, Neb. Four children were born to this union, two boys and two girls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Linnie at the age of eight years, Olive at the age of 19, her husband Alex Davis on June 24, 1944, and a son Clair on December 26, 1959.
On June 4, 1954, she was united in marriage to Bert Larkins of Republic, Kan. Mr. Larkins preceded her in death October 29, 1959.
Those who survive her are one son Harvey and wife of Wichita, Kan., one sister, Wilda Albertson of Republic, Kan., seven grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday September 8, 1962, at 2 p.m. at the E.U.B. church at Republic conducted by the Rev. Loren Silsby. Interment in Washington cemetery.
