Abner was born in Fluvanna Co. Virginia to Shelton Sprouce & Sarah Eliza Harlow. His wife was Mary L Sprouse - his 1st cousin. He died tragically when he was hit by a train while sitting on the Old Moore's Creek bridge around 8p.m. on March 2, 1897. He was buried March 4,1897.His burial place is unknown at this time.
