Joseph "Leon" Murdock, 62, of Rogersville, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m.; visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. before the service at Rogersville Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rogersville Funeral Home and Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Brother Henry Melton and John Murdock Jr. Mr. Murdock was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ruby Brewer Murdock; a son, Rick Murdock; and a brother, Matthew Murdock. He is survived by his wife, Marian Murdock, of Rogersville; a son, Brian Murdock, of Akron, Ohio; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Durham, of Florence, and Angie (Gary Ray) Hopper, of Falkner, Miss.; mother-in-law, Nancy Adis Bolyard, of Rogersville; daughter-in-law, Carol Murdock, of Florence; grandchildren, David and Marian Durham and Faith and Randy Murdock; brothers, Luke, John, Sam, Jim and Will Murdock; sisters, Jessie Thomas, Ann Byron, Rose Huckaba, Ruby Ray and Lois Phillips
