OBITUARY:

Phyllis L. Crowley, 97, died peacefully after a short illness on October 27, 2008 at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born in Machiasport on September 17, 1911 the daughter of the late Hallie D. and Beatrice L. (Thompson) Larrabee. She worked for many years at various sardine factories as a food processor. Mrs. Crowley enjoyed family especially on Sundays. She also liked the get togethers on holidays, baking and cooking hearty meals for the family. She shared 70 years of marriage with the late Donald Crowley who died in 2001. Family members include her son, Keith A. Crowley Sr., 6 grandchildren, Jean Crowley, Jessie Alley and husband, William, Judy Handy and husband, Donald, Keith "Ubbie" Crowley Jr. and companion, Rebecca Skinner, James Crowley and companion, Rebecca White all of Addison and Jane Look and husband, Raymond, Florida, great grandchildren, Barry Alley and wife, Andrea of NH, Holly Tyler and husband, Jason of Addison, Donna Eldridge and husband, David of Cutler, Trey, Katie and Lindsey Crowley all of Addison, Chad Crowley of Addison, Michael Look of Addison and Courtney of Florida, great great grandchildren, Timothy and Joanna Alley, Emily, Elyssa, Eagan Eldridge and a brother, Kendall Larrabee of Machias, and a sister-in-law, Arletta Faulkingham of Jonesport.. She was also survived by a nephew, Ronald Peabody and wife, Mary of Jonesport. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Daphene Crowley, two sisters, Madolyn Peabody and husband, Elmer and Faye Larrabee and brothers, Wayne Larrabee and Neil Larrabee. The family would like to thank her extended family at the Grace Home in Harrington for her comfort and care while being a resident there for three years. Graveside services will be held at the Basin Cemetery, Addison on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 3P.M. with Deacon Audrey Tyler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Church, C/O Ronald Look, Box 18, Batson Lane, Addison, ME 04606. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge.
