Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, Friday, July 6, 1973

A former resident of Ionia, Mrs. Flora B. Jackson, 99, died at a nursing home in Jeffersonville, Ind., Wednesday evening. She had been a patient there the past few years. Born at Jackson, March 9, 1874, she was the daughter of Chester and Rhoda Harvey Bangs. In 1899 she was married to Sidney P. Jackson, a Presbyterian minister, and he died in 1940.

Most of her married life she spent in the New England states returning to Ionia in 1954 and lived here for several years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian church of Ionia.

A son, Roscoe Bradbury Jackson, died in infancy and her only survivor is a niece, Mrs. Thane Ware of Battle Creek.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Leddick funeral home. Pastor Harold Johnson of First Presbyterian church will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for Hall-Fowler library for the children's book section. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
