The deceased was well known here and had many friends. He was for some years chef at the Grayling house before its destruction. He served during the Spanish-American war the Nineteenth regiment, United States infantry, since which he has been in declining health. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Larson, two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Anderson of Galesburg, Ill., and Mrs. E. Sparks, with two brothers, Joseph and John Larson, of this village, to mourn his loss.
The funeral Tuesday afternoon was conducted by Rev. A. P. W. Becker, and largely attended.
