CHAMBERSBURG - Leslie H. Leonard, 84, a resident of the Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, formerly of Lewistown and Traverse City, MI, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg. Born Sept. 5, 1916, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Lawrence B. and Pearl (Hersh) Leonard. His wife, Iva (Smith) Leonard, whom he married Oct. 1, 1937, survives. Also surviving are: sons, John Brady Leonard, Mancelona, MI and James Leroy Leonard, Spring City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, one half-brother and one half-sister. He was a carpenter. He was a member of the Cherry Blossom Mennonite Church, Traverse City, MI. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Lester Otto and the Rev. Sam Troyer officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call 6 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
