Wilmer Eugene Shupe, 70, of 623 N. Fourth St. Apollo, died unexpectedly yesterday (Jan. 16, 1980) at 7 a.m. in his home.

Born June 26, 1909, in South Bend Township, he was a son of Zetta M. Yount Shupe of Apollo and the late Harry W. Shupe.

He was a resident of the Kiski area most of his life. Mr. Shupe retired a number of years ago from the Delmonte Packing Co. of DeKalb, Ill.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Irene Casella Shupe; two brothers; Kenneth F. of Apollo and Walter J. of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters; Mrs. Hobart (Olive) Strong of Apollo and Mrs. James (Ruth) Klingensmith of Shelocta.

His father preceded him in death in 1953. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wyvonne Cimprich in 1974.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Gary P. Curran Funeral Home. 322 N. Second St., Apollo, where services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Holm, Paster of First Church of God, North Apollo, in charge. Private burial will follow.
