Thelma (Twede) Butler, 99, of Cicero passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Born Sept. 29, 1909 in Payson, Utah she was the daughter of Herman August and Mary Eliza (Jensen) Twede.

Butler was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served a temple mission. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts and reading.

Survivors include two sisters; three daughters, including youngest, Ilene Arnold (Arthur) of Cicero; 22 grandchildren, including Linda Engebretsen of Noblesville, Lisa Tillett (James) of Avon, Robert Arnold (Nicole) of Fishers, Lana Cruz of Noblesville, and David Arnold (Alissandra) of Carmel; 69 great-grandchildren; and 39 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years; six brothers; three sisters; two children; and two grandsons.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St. in Noblesville. Funeral services will be held in Spring Lake, Utah at 11 a.m. Feb. 24.
