He was drafted and enlisted in the Army of February 13, 1942 at Camp Upton, Yaphank, New York. He was noted as being employed as a housemen and yardmen, as having attended 1 year of college, and also as Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" during the invasion of France on D-Day. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
