Agin, Mrs. Christena Myrtle, 87, of New Matamoras, died Tuesday morning, February 1, 1966, at 1:45 o'clock, in Marietta Memorial Hospital following and extended illness. Born August 8, 1878, in Wirt County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Albert and Louise Murphy Skaggs.
Her husband, Augustus Agin, preceded her in death.
She is survived by five children; Mrs. Nellie M. Fisher, of New Matamoras; Harold E. Agin, of Brownsburg, Indiana; Chester E. Agin, of Ellsworth, Kansas; Ralph E. Agin, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Charles A. Agin, of Honolulu. Two children preceded her in death. Nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Corum Funeral Home at New Matamoras, with the Reverend Oscar Ashburn officiating. Burial was in the New Matamoras Cemetery.
