Deaths
Clintwood, VA - Christopher Columbus Fleming, 86, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nina Stanley, at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sula Fleming of Clintwood; 3 daughters, Mrs. Vesta Parker of Kingsport; Mrs. Carrie Fleming of Washington DC; and Mrs. Stanley of Clintwood; 8 sons; Estes, Beldon, Seldon, Jerry, all of Clintwood; and Homer Emory and Emza of Kingsport; Cecil of Detroit, MI; one brother, Emory Fleming of Clintwood and 2 sisters, Mrs. Rosie Dale Rose of Coeburn, VA; and Mrs. Della Stanley of Stratton, VA; and 29 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Clintwood Baptist Church Saturday at 11 a.m. Elder Bert Nowlin will officiate. Burial will be in the Fleming Cemetery at Clintwood.

The body will be moved to the home from the Miller's Funeral Home at 2 p.m. today.
