William G Siegel, 87, 408 5th St., Irwin, former resident of Fairview Drive, Cereal, North Huntingdon, died at his home this morning January 9, 1975. He was born October 5, 1887, in Hahntown, North Huntingdon, and was a retired employee of Westmoreland Coal Company.The son of the late Charles and Sophia Weis Siegel was predeceased by his wife Helga S Carlson Siegel. Surviving are 4 children, Norman, Manor; George, Cereal, North Huntingdon; Raymond, North Huntingdon; Mrs. Ruth Kunkel, Irwin; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Mrs. Anna Straka, Universal; Mrs. Emma Schenone, Fairmont, North Huntingdon; Elsie Siegel,Hahntown, North Huntingdon; Mrs. Thelma Thornton, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Martha Selia, another sister, predeceased him in 1974. he was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior where he had served on church council and also a member of IOOF, Jeannette. Beginning 7 PM Friday, friends will be received at the William N Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, and 2-5 and 7-9 PM daily. Funeral services will be held at LLutheran Church of Our Savior Sunday at 2 PM in charge of his pastor, Rev. Paul B Blank. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
