GEORGE E. SMELTZER
George Elmer Smeltzer, 74 years old, of 520 South Eighth street, Jeannette died at 8:15 o'clock Saturday night at his home following a year's illness of complications. He was born in Hempfield township, near Jeannette, the son of Daniel and Maria Feightner Smeltzer and had been a resident of the Jeannette vicinity he entire life. Employed by the Pennsylvania Rubber company he was stationary engineer for the past 30 years. Surviving are his widow, Margaret A. Morris, and one brother, Samuel, of Grapeville, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Little, of Jeannette, and Mrs. William Hale, of Crows Nest. Friends will be received at the Miller-Whitlatch Funeral Home, Jeannette from 2 to 5 and 7 daily from where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. George Thornton officiating. Interment will be in the Irwin Union cemetery.
