Orval F. Anderson, 76, 15th Avenue East, Superior, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 1996, in St. Luke's Hospital.
He was born in Superior, where he lived most of his life. He served with the Army's 6th Armored Division during World War II. He was a former president of Teamsters Local 288. He retired as vice president of Teamsters Local 346.
Mr. Anderson had served as vice president and president of the Douglas County Development Association. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Superior, Superior Moose Lodge 606, Teamsters Retiree Club, and Disable American Veterans. He was a lifetiem member of Henry S. Blomberg VFW Post 847.
His parents were John and Mary Pollock Anderson. A son, Orval Jr., died in 1979.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Ronald and Rodney, both of Superior; a daughter, Judith Remington of Superior; a brother, Peter of Superior; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Visitation:6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home. Memorial sevices will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hawthorne.
