Bush Pilot Killed in plane crash in Bering Sea at Norton Sound, near Kotzebue, Alaska.
He married Josephine R. Lewein in Milwaukee, WI on Sept. 14, 1927. One child: Kathryn Louise Easley. After Ben's death, Josephine married Ray Bandomir, who adopted Kathryn Louise.

In the plunge of a plane to the beach of Kotzebue Sound, Ben Easley, pilot of the aircraft is believed to have lost his life. The ill-fated plane, belonging to Roust Airways, which operates chiefly between Nome,Candle and Kotzebue, was found partly submerged on the shore off Cape Blossom, which is on Kotzebue Sound and which is only a comparatively little distance south of the town of Kotzebue.
