Mrs. Renie I. Cratin, widow of Samuel J. Cratin died Sunday, May
19, 1941, at her home in Silver Run. She was a daughter of Joseph G.
Petry. near Union Mills, and the late
Catherine V. Starner Petry. Her husband preceded her in death on April
10, 1940. She leaves two children, Mrs. Wilmas Bish, Silver Run, and
Willard J Cratin, Harrisonburg, Va., and besides her father, two brothers
and a sister survive: Jacob D. Petry,
Silver Run; Denton A. Petry, Hanover; and Miss Hattie B. Petry, near
Union Mills. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Reformed church
and was a member of the woman's Bible class of that church.
Funeral services were conducted
Wednesday, meeting at the late residence in Silver Run at I P. M., with
further rites in St Mary's Reformed Church. Her pastor, the Rev. C. Earl
Gardner, and Dr. E. M. Sando, pastor of the West Manheim Reformed
charge, officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Union cemetery.
