Wilhelmina Katherine "Willie" King, resident of East Wenatchee, WA, died peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Columbia View Terrace, Adult Family Home, East Wenatchee. She was born August 1, 1924, in Wapato, to Anthony and Flora (Zimmerman) Andreas. She was raised and educated in Wapato. Wilhelmina married Oswald King on August 8, 1942, in Wichita Falls, TX, while Ozzie was serving in the Army Air Corps. They were happily married for 68 years and raised two devoted sons. They worked together in the fruit industry, first at Wapato and Grandview, then to the Wenatchee area, retiring from Columbia River Orchards. Together they built their home in 1980, in East Wenatchee. It was here in East Wenatchee, that they opened their home to family and friends. Wilhelmina loved to cook and no visitor ever went away without first eating a great meal. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She could find good in all and was dearly loved and respected. Willie had an extremely generous heart and was always willing to help others.

Willie is preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Flora Andreas; sisters, Mary Henke and Edith Oswalt; two infant sisters; and one infant brother. She is survived by brothers, Joe of Grandview, WA, John (Edna) of Yakima, WA and Anthony (Bobbie Jean) of Olympia, WA; her children, Ronald (Lynn) of Deer Park, WA and Greg (Marci) of East Wenatchee, WA; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa), Anthony, Marianne, Rachel and Angie; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces; and nephews.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Columbia View Terrace Adult Family Home for their love, care and support of Wilhelmina for the past six weeks.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, 302 Ninth Street, Wenatchee, WA. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 1315 8th Street N.E., East Wenatchee, WA. Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park, East Wenatchee, WA immediately following the service. Memorials may be made in Wilhelmina's name to the Columbia View Terrace Adult Family Home, 1722 N. Anne, East Wenatchee, WA; Holy Apostles Catholic Church; or a charity of your choice.
