Father of Lewis Ferris (1745-1819).
Grandfather of Isaiah Ferris, Sr (1781-1853).
Was a patriot during the Revolutionary War when British troops burned his farm, destroyed his fruit trees, and killed his livestock. It has been reported that Benjamin Franklin stayed at the Ferris farm during a trip to Canada.
