Mrs. Mary Grubbs Bailey - Chappell
Lorain - Mrs. Mary Grubbs Bailey-Chappell, 93, of 2209 Lorain Drive, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in the Lorain Convalescent Home.
She was born May 12, 1874, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reed Grubbs, pioneer Lorainities.
1st husband was LeRoy Bailey; 2nd husband, Isaac A. Chappell.
Survivors include three sons, A.R. Bailey, Meadville, Pa; Robert C. Bailey, Salina, Kan; and a stepson, Walter M. Chappell, Wakeman; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Johnson, Erie, Pa., seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home and her funeral was officiated by Rev. Aubrey E. Kirby, pastor of the Delaware Avenue Methodist Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
