He was born September 10, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Eugene R. & Jerrie Pauline (Pigg) England. He married Janet F. Pemberton on January 27, 1964 in Flora, IL. She preceded him in death on August 2, 1977. He later married Billie Mack on February 29, 1980 in Flora.
He was the sexton for Elmwood Cemetery in Flora working 33 years and his memberships include the following: First Presbyterian Church of Flora, Flora Masonic Lodge #204 AF&AM, Scottish Rite, member & Ambassador of Ainad Temple, Clay County & Salem Shrine Clubs, and Flora Elks Lodge.
Mr. England is survived by his wife: Billie England; father: Eugene England; children: Keith England & wife Linda, John England & wife Mary, Greg Beard & wife Sandy, Scott Beard; brother: Terry England & wife Donna; eight grandchildren: Mark, Brian, Haley, Sarah, Brianna, Caitlin, Haven & Holly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday (July 18, 2010) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 6 PM.
